Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 1, 2007
1. WHAT THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVERS

Spread Trends takes the protection of your privacy very seriously. This policy covers how Spread Trends treats personal information about you that Spread Trends collects and receives, including information related to your use of Spread Trends products and services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable, like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Spread Trends does not own or control, or to people that Spread Trends does not directly employ or manage.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

Spread Trends does not collect personal information when you use Spread Trends products or services. Spread Trends may collect IP address data when you visit web pages on the SpreadTrends.com web site. An IP address is a number associated with the service through which you access the Internet, like your ISP (Internet service provider), your company, or your university. Standing alone, your IP address is not personally identifiable. At times, we also use IP addresses for purposes of system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers and sponsors, for example regarding the frequency with which our guests visit various parts of SpreadTrends.com. Spread Trends may combine information about you that we obtain directly with information we obtain from business partners or other companies.

Spread Trends uses information collected about you to customize the advertising and content you see, to fulfill your requests for products and services, to improve the quality and relevance of our services, to conduct research, and to provide anonymous reporting for internal and external clients.

3. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Spread Trends displays targeted advertisements based on personal information. Advertisers (including ad serving companies) may assume that people who interact with, view, or click on targeted ads meet the targeting criteria (for example, men aged 35-44 from a particular geographic area). Spread Trends does not provide any personal information to the advertiser when you interact with or view a targeted ad. However, by interacting with or viewing an ad you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad.

4. COOKIES

Spread Trends may set and access Spread Trends cookies on your computer. Spread Trends also lets other companies that show advertisements on some of our pages set and access their cookies on your computer. Other companies' use of their cookies is subject to their own privacy policies, not this one. Advertisers or other companies do not have access to Spread Trends's cookies. Spread Trends also uses web beacons to access Spread Trends cookies inside and outside our network of web sites and in connection with Spread Trends products and services.

5. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

Spread Trends may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Spread Trends account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
