Privacy Policy

At SpreadTrends we believe that privacy is critical to your ongoing patronage of our service, the success of the SpreadTrends community, and to the overall vibrancy of the Internet. Personal information is data about you that is personally identifiable, like your name, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

These principles do not apply to the practices of companies that SpreadTrends does not own or control, or to people that SpreadTrends does not directly employ or manage. SpreadTrends reviews this policy on an annual basis and may update or amend it at any time.

SpreadTrends takes your personal information, and your privacy, seriously. We will keep all of the personal information that you provided during the registration process private and confidential, except as explicitly stated in this policy.

SpreadTrends stores your email address. We do not store your account password or your password reminder question in plaintext. We do not store any credit card or payment information.

Season Pass purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. Payment card details are entered on Stripe's own hosted checkout page and go directly to Stripe — they never reach SpreadTrends servers, and we never see or store them.

We retain a record of each purchase — the season, amount, status, and Stripe's reference identifiers — linked to your account, so we can grant and support your Season Pass access and process refunds. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.

SpreadTrends uses your personal information for "group" demographic statistics and communications. We do not share data with third party marketers.

We may use named third party service providers to process and store Subscriber data. We will not disclose your individual personal information unless acting under a good faith belief to: conform to legal requirements, protect SpreadTrends rights or property, or enforce the Terms of Service.

A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser and stored on your device. SpreadTrends sets two kinds: strictly necessary cookies that keep you signed in and protect account forms against cross-site request forgery, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used.

We may also use "web beacons", which allow a website to count users who have visited a page or accessed certain cookies. See Your Cookie Choices for how to control or opt out of the non-essential ones.

SpreadTrends does not display advertisements and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The cookies we set are limited to those required to keep you signed in and secure, plus Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, though sign-in and other account features will not work without the strictly necessary ones. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

SpreadTrends uses Google Analytics which tracks data about visitors to our website. Google Analytics collects and processes data to provide insights into how users find and use our website.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of SpreadTrends is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there. Google might transfer the personal information collected via this technical procedure to third parties.

You may create an account or sign in using your Google account instead of a SpreadTrends password. When you do, Google confirms your identity to us and shares your email address and basic profile information. We never receive your Google password.

Signing in this way sets cookies necessary to complete the sign-in redirect and keep your session active. The email address associated with your account is handled exactly as described under Your Control.

As a Subscriber, you are automatically signed up to receive email messages from us containing content and service updates and other matters of interest.

SpreadTrends uses Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC) to manage email campaigns. You may discontinue this email service at any time by contacting support@spreadtrends.com or using the opt-out link in emails received.

SpreadTrends may collect Internet Protocol ("IP") address data when you visit web pages on our website. An IP address is a number associated with the service through which you access the Internet, like your ISP, company, or university.

Standing alone, your IP address is not personally identifiable. We use IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to our service providers.

At SpreadTrends you control your own personal information. You may request that we delete any of your personal information we collected from you and retained in our member records.

To cancel your subscription or request removal of your personal information, send an email to support@spreadtrends.com. SpreadTrends reserves the right to maintain information on users who have violated our Terms of Service or to comply with legal obligations.
